Hello again! ;-)

Now that I've stepped back into the world of working I am all sorts of overwhelmed...the laundry is piling up and my homework did not get done this week...or last...but Jake is really doing a great job of cleaning house and the kids and him are having lots of fun together...while I work, he gets to be home for three days each week (he was working practically every day so that I could be home with the kiddos, so its been a nice change for him). I am working 12 hour midnight shifts...7pm to 7am...its difficult, but I love it! 3 days on and 4 days off is awesome. As you can see by this 1:30am post, its hard to get back to a normal schedule on my days off....

We had a very fun Halloween today. We cheered Jaden on at his last flag football game and were proud of him as he got his medal. It was Jared's first Halloween and we got to go to a very fun carnival and then did a little bit of trick or treating...very fun!

I wanted to post pictures of my cutie pies all dressed up for Halloween but my computer is being a pain in the boody so can't do that darn't....pictures are up on facebook though :-)

He is STANDING! .....and a Blow out!

So Jared loves to pull himself up to the furniture, stand up and then try to walk along side it. Today he pulled himself up, got his balance and then let go...and STOOD UP all by himself!!!! You should've seen his face, lol, he was concentrating so hard, it was kinda funny. But, after a few seconds of him standing, good ol mom ruins it! I got really excited and screamed "OH my GOSH!" he got surprised and fell back....oops! But, he is back up trying to stand over and over...this boy is determined! That's a very good quality to have too...I can't wait til he's in school and in football (we already introduced him to Jacob's football coach...Jaden's future tackle football coach....and have given him a soft football to play with)

Yesterday Jordan babysat Jared for most of the day and then Jena watched him in the evening. I could tell he had fun when I went to pick him up at Jena's last night and he crawled to her instead of me and pulled himself up and crawled in her lap. He loves his aunts, its obvious...and Kennedy and him had fun together, I'm told, she calls him "JJ" They will be buddies when they are bigger, I already know it :-)

I was on the way home from Amarillo to Borger last night...its just me and the kids...bout 8pm...it was completely dark outside and the Fritch Highway is completely unlit and there's nothing out there at all. I get half way and all the sudden I have a blow out of my front passenger side tire. I suprised myself at how well I handled the car...it really swerved and jerk around and the car shook a lot...I screamed cuz it was so scary and shocking. But, I took my foot off the gas and just held tight to the steering wheel and got control before I hit the breaks and then once I had it under control I gradually slowed down to a stop on the shoulder. I called the police Department and Breane the dispatcher got Jake on the radio and he came to get us...our sweet friend Brock brought his tow truck and pulled our car to his shop in town...what a very kind friend! A really bad situation ended up going no too bad.

Oh my goodness!

My kids are growing up so fast! To fast for me really...This month....

Kaelynn started back to school at First United Methodist preschool. She is in the big kids class this year and loves it! This is her on her first day...so CUTE!

Jared just started sitting up like a pro and apparantly its not enough for him...he wants to try to walk. We go to sit him down and he straightens out his legs and arches his back...how dare we make him sit down, haha. His new favorite thing is to crawl up to the couch or the door (which scares the crud out of me!) and stands up and walks along like a big boy. He is one week from turning 7 months.

He used to go to sleep just fine if we just layed him down and turned on the lullabies for him to listen to, but now...he won't lay down because he'd rather stand up and laugh and play. He is such a little booger now! :-)

He is also a big remote control hog...already! So now its not just his dad I have to fight for the remote with its this little guy too....

He also has 2 teeth now, which I waited for him to cry so that I could snap a picture of them, lol

Jaden started flag football for the first time ever and he is awesome! He actually surprised us at how great he is....football is definitely his sport, just like Jacob! (I'm happy about that one, I love watching them play!) Jaden is having an interesting year in school this year. He is in first grade, but finding the work WAY to EASY! He whizzes through the math and the vocabulary tests. He has a test each Friday to see if he can read a list of words...its too easy for him, so he learns to spell them instead, which is easy for him also. He came home mad because he has to check out 1st grade books...he wants to read Goosebumps and other chapter books...which are about 3rd grade level, and they wouldn't let him for some reason. He gets bored in class and gets in trouble for talking and for working ahead on his work when the class is doing an assignment as a class. What can I say, he's one smart dude! I'm very proud....but will have to get him to just stay quiet and work slower with the class. Maybe I can see about him checking out the higher level books and possibly extra work so he'll have something to keep him busy when he finishes early...we'll see what we can do. He sure is awesome though, lol!

The other day there was like 5 rings of the doorbell....I go open the door, pretty annoyed (I was grouchy that day, lol) and there is a cute little girl with a note in her hand. She asked me to give the note to Jacob Soler and then she left smiling ear to ear. Jacob opened the note acting like he wasn't at all feeling extra special about the whole thing, haha...and this is what it said........

In case its too blury....its a letter asking if he will go out with her...and to circle yes or no. Of course Jacob already has a girlfriend, so he checked no...and probably broke the little girl's heart. But, I laugh at the stages my kids are in. I also had the song "check yes or no" in my head all day..

Finally, on my list is Kaelynn and her ballet!!! Nonna sent Kaelynn all these precious leatards and the ballet and tap shoes and a cute bag...she was so, so excited and gosh she is a gorgeous ballerina...just ask her she'll tell you, lol! She is a very good ballerina and awesome at tap dancing. She is already wishing she was 13 because she wants to be in the hip hop dance class. Look out world...here comes my little beauty Kaelynn! :-)

He's got a "toof"!!!

Jared is reaching milestone after milestone and even after having 3 kids, the fourth is just as exciting as the first.

He now has a tiny little tooth, or as Kaelynn said "toof" peeking out on the bottom. He has had a tough time getting that tooth to pop out...we've comforted a lot of tears and had a little fever and all the not fun stuff that comes along with each tooth. I go through at least 3 bibs a day trying to keep his clothes dry...he's been a slobbery baby lately, lol

He can crawl so fast! I can lay him down to play in front of me, turn to give my attention to one of the other kiddos and by the time I turn back around...he's gone! Its funny because he wants so bad to go check out the rest of the house, but mean mommy won't let him out of the living room. When he does get a chance to sneak off, he has a big smile on his face, is giggling a very guilty laugh and is going as fast as he can. He's a stinker! And I can't help but laugh at him all day...he's hilarious just like big brother Jaden. I wonder what it will be like with 2 comedians in the family?!

He sits up like a pro and can pull himself up from prone position to sitting...must have some strong abs, lol!

He is still nursing great with no problems...yay!...has now successfully eaten all fruits and vegetables from Gerber 1st foods, loves them all, and is not allergic to anything so far...big relief there!

Jared is one very healthy baby and "knock on wood" has yet to get sick...that I LOVE!

My friend Kimi babysat him last weekend while the rest of us were out and about in the sun...can't have a sunburned baby!...and he did great! He will gladly go to anyone and hasn't cried yet around new people.

Jared is SPOILED as can be by all of us. He constantly has someone playing with him and making him laugh, or laughing at him. He loves to sit with Jacob and when he is with him, he is calm and relaxed and feels obviously secure and happy. We all know who Jared will go to for help when he is older.

Jaden and Jared can sit and laugh at each other for hours if you let them. They seem to really understand each other and have the similar personalities.

Kaelynn and Jared are my babies. They both like to be held and both compete for attention. I'm guessing that these two will probably butt heads the most. But, Kaelynn loves to help feed him and hold him and will play with him...for a little bit, but then she's bored and ready to do her own thing.

Its awesome watching my 4 babies grow and learn and develop their own personalities, talents and goals in life. I feel very blessed...and entertained, lol!

****Kaelynn starts preschool next week and ballet/tap this Thursday...she and I are very excited about her being in some girly activities! She loves to dance and is always wanting to play with girls rather than having to always play cops and army (poor kid is stuck in the house with 3 brothers, I can't blame her, lol!). So, more blogs to come about my baby girl :-)

Its been a great summer...lots of fun in Portland and at the beach and everywhere, out pool has been awesome with all this heat, football season is here which means lots of practices and games to go watch Jacob play (Jaden didn't want to play, bummer), and I get to start harassing my mom and Jake about their Cowboys everytime they fumble and mess up and loose....hehe! Hope you all have enjoyed your summers also....Kennedy is here for the day, so I'm off to go and play with her and Kaelynn...we are so excited Kenn is here with us! :-)
